Workshop Summary:
Day 1 & 2 – Level 1: New Installers Course (CH-TNG-L1)
Operation of the Challenger and navigation of the user menu
using the RAS: Arming & disaming the Challenger, navigating
the user menu, input device names, panel status, isolate &
de-isolate, test an input, program a user, modify time & date,
view history, create a holiday, create a door group and open a
door.
Installation: Installers menu, Challenger defaulting, installation
standards, terminology, device locations and descriptions,
addressing and relay control group.
Using the RAS for progamming: Enrolling devices, program
words, time zones, inputs, area, system options, relay
mapping, alarm groups, communications, users, test and
communication and fault-finding.
Day 3 – Level 2: Advanced Installers Course(CH-TNG-L2)
Titan – Connecting to a Challenger, uploading, exploring
inputs, areas, RAS’s & DGP’s, timers, system options,
communications, text words, time zones, map relays, alarm
groups, users, download to a Challenger, add a map & LAP’s
to control a map, create a new user, system maintenance.
Advanced boards – TS0844 Power Board, TS0073 2A Power
Supply, TS0877 Smoke Sensor Power Board, TS0893 LAN
Multidrop Board, TS0894 RS232/RS285 Board, TS0896
RS485 LAN Board.
Advanced programming – Restricted alarm groups, user
categories, auto arm/disarm, RAS database and area linking.
Day 4 – Level 3: Access Control (CH-TNG-L3)
RAS Relay control group, RAS code entry, deny access if area
secured, TS0862 Single Door Controller, TS0870 Smart Door
Controller, reading a card, site code A & B, card arming, input
shunts and Challenger Macros.
Four Door Controller initialise, door numbering, 4DC
uploading, door details, create door group for a 4DC, antipassback,
IUM, Smart card programmer and 4DC Macros.
